After 25+ years at global media, tech and entertainment brands, including NBCUniversal, NBC News, SoundCloud, Fuse, and TechTV, I launched Cramer Connect because I believe that employee experience is everything! And because helping companies build cultures people love lights me up as much as coaching people to show up as their best selves.

What I Do

Interim Internal Comms Leadership
I step in when companies need seasoned leadership. Whether your head of internal comms is out, you’re between hires, or you’re driving a transformation, my role is to keep employees informed, aligned, and inspired so your business keeps moving forward.

Coaching (The Other Side of Me)
I also coach individuals through career and life transitions. With a foundation in health + wellness, I help clients clarify values, build confidence, and design their personal brand so they can show up as their best selves.

Why It Matters

The employee experience can make or break a company. When communication is intentional, culture thrives. And when people feel aligned, they grow.

Invitation

This is my YES era and I’d love to help you step into yours.

Experience

  • With my wealth of experience, I founded Cramer Connect, LLC, a consulting collective, specializing in Internal Communications.

My passion for transforming culture led me to collaborate with top on-air talent in media, entertainment, and fashion, as well as with C-suite executives at large corporations, high-growth companies, and startups.

Today, clients hire me for fractional roles, project-based work, gap-filling, and even paternity leave.

  • Relaunch of beloved LEGO franchise. From branding to design, website development and messaging, social media and Black Friday launch, the store is up and running; thriving with a new name, look and feel. All created through Cramer Connect’s collective.

  • As the fractional head of global Internal Communications, I devised a comprehensive global internal communications strategy in just four months. My approach, which included a weekly newsletter, two content series, a contesting initiative, and partner meetings, significantly boosted employee engagement, retention, and recruitment, fostering cross-divisional pride and enthusiasm.

  • Brought on as a consultant, in six weeks, I developed an internal communications strategy following an audit. My recomended initiatives included quarterly town halls, weekly and monthly newsletters, and various employee engagement programs, to create a more engaged workforce both in the newsroom and in the field.

  • As Global VP, People Communications, I superserved an employee base, orchestrated monthly "All Hands" town halls, revamped the onboarding experience, and streamlined programs for a diverse workforce. I also served as a communications partner for the Head of DEI and collaborated with leaders in Workplace, Total Rewards, People Ops, and Culture, elevating the People Team's visibility within the organization.

  • My role at NBCUniversal strategically positioned me to lead internal and HR communications, and establish the Global Internal Communications Council. I launched NBCUZen, a global wellness initiative featuring zen-talks, meditation series, CSR efforts, and virtual events. I also engaged employees through initiatives like the award-winning Bring Your Parents to Work Day and managed the myPerks program, which offered unique brand experiences and highlighted employee participation in newsletters and digital platforms. I collaborated with the Page Program, Interns, and Talent Acquisition teams and was integral in the 2016 reimagining of the Page Program into a rotational learning initiative.

  • During my tenure covering maternity leave as VP of PR at NBC News’ TODAY show, I managed hybrid teams while continuing to fulfill my corporate responsibilities. I oversaw high-profile talent, publicized two book launches, promoted the award-winning TODAY show's daily content on-air and online, and coordinated major events such as Halloween reveals, election coverage, parades, holidays, and the inauguration.

  • As Director of Communications for NBC News, I was the publicist for renowned talents like Tom Brokaw, Ann Curry, and Chelsea Clinton. I launched and sunsetted "Rock Center with Brian Williams," promoted Emmy Award-winning content, and provided PR support for "TODAY." I also managed publicity for Peacock Productions and led initiatives for key projects, including crisis communication for "Everest Jump Live" and the promotion of "SkyWire Live with Nik Wallenda."

  • A Director of Communications, I managed the PR team and positioned C-suite executives and talent as industry leaders. I spearheaded Fuse’s involvement with the Garden of Dreams Foundation, creating the "Fuse Rocks the Classroom" initiative and organizing community outreach. I secured interviews and organized events for talent and promoted the network at major festivals and events like Bonnaroo, SXSW, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

  • As the Director, Public Relations, our team played a integral role in the growth and sale of TechTV (to Comcast). By establishing TechTV talent as experts and household names in the consumer press, the network experienced a significant increase in distribution and value.

  • Instrumental in growing the agency from three to sixty employees over five years, achieving $4 million in revenue, I oversaw PR for the integrated agency. Demonstrating my ability to drive growth and manage successful campaigns, I was responsible for million-dollar PR programs for clients such as Crescendo Ventures and ValueClick.

The Inside Scoop

In 2023, I walked away from an extremely fulfilling career in media and entertainment to pursue a life-long dream of starting my own business. Cramer Connect blends two of my greatest passions - internal communications and coaching.

The employee experience is everything and it can make or break a company. From the first point of contact to onboarding, L&D, feedback, and those surprise and delight moments, my philosophy is that internal communications should be intentional and if it informs, engages and inspires then you know you’re doing something right!

As an Interim Internal Comms Leader, I strive to do just that. I partner with the C-Suite and their teams to build a positive workplace culture through strategic, timely and consistent internal communications.

Adding “coach” to my business model was evolutionary. I’ve been mentoring since my first job at Bravo! Marketing and so it seemed natural for me to get certified. I start with zoning in on your health and wellness and then we delve into uncovering core beliefs and values to help you discover what’s next and how to show up as who you’re meant to be (your personal brand).

Originally from Northern California, I’m an alumni of St. Mary’s College of California (Go Gaels); I’ve been on the East Coast for nearly 20 years. I live in Maplewood, NJ with my husband, son, daughter, and our (very large) silver lab.

I love being outdoors, traveling (and planning the next adventure), cooking & eating, gardening, writing, constantly learning, and spending quality time with family and friends.

My new hobbies are meditation and mahjong … sensing a theme here? I’m in my YES era and I encourage you to join me on yours.
